Catherine Baker and Henry Roden ♥
SATURDAY, JULY 18TH, 2026
Catherine and Henry (and Quinn!) are getting married on July 18, 2026. We're celebrating our way — downtown, with great food, good drinks, and the people we love, in the city we love.
The Ceremony
We're making it official just down the street at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau — the New York way. We’re excited to share an intimate courthouse ceremony with our immediate family, followed by photos around our neighborhood.

A NYC Love Story
Sparks flew in 2017…
Henry and Catherine met on July 17, their first day at Macy’s. Before long, lunches in Bryant Park became a regular ritual, with Catherine expertly assembling Greek salads from an ever-expanding lineup of Tupperware containers. Somewhere in those lunches, the seeds were planted and their relationship took root.
From friendship to making it official in 2019,
Henry was first introduced to Catherine’s family at her cousin’s wedding — the first trip they took together.
In 2020 at the start of a global pandemic,
they moved to Arizona for what was meant to be a month in the sun. One month quickly turned into two years of hiking, backyard BBQs, and road trips across the Southwest. Most importantly, it was during this time that they successfully planned and executed the heist of their son, Quinn, from the doldrums of northern Ohio.
In 2022, return-to-office mandates and the start of Henry’s NYU studies
brought them back to New York, where they made their home in Manhattan’s Seaport neighborhood and quickly became part of its tight-knit community.
In May 2023, a long-planned trip to Central Park to let Quinn roam freely through the meadows led them to Belvedere Castle — and an enthusiastic “yes” that set the course for everything that followed.
Many trips and many New York dinners later, they’re excited to celebrate their marriage in the neighborhood they now call home, surrounded by the people they love most.
Travel and Stay
Both days of the wedding will take place in Downtown Manhattan. If you’re coming in from out of town, we’ve shared a few recommendations below.
-
Both days of the wedding are in downtown Manhattan - specifically the Seaport/Financial District area. If you're coming from out of town, here are some places we recommend:
AC Hotel New York Downtown
Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites New York Manhattan/Financial District
33 Hotel New York City Seaport
Wall Street Hotel
M Social New York Downtown
AirBnb
-
The ceremony and reception are both in seaport/the financial district. Everything is walkable. If you're coming from elsewhere in the city, take the 2, 3, A, or C to Fulton Street or the 4 or 5 train to Brooklyn Bridge. Cabs and rideshares work too — this is New York, after all.
If you're a local, you already know what to do.

Summer cocktail. Dresses, pants, and jackets — think colorful, bright prints, and summer in the city.

Saturday’s celebration will be indoors. We’ll be in New York in July, so dress for warm weather while getting around.

We’re keeping things intimate, so we’ve specifically invited the people we want there. If your invitation includes a plus one, it will say so. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out.

Obviously.
-
This is New York City — there is no parking situation. Take the subway, grab a cab, or walk — that’s part of the charm.
